Daily Times (Halachic Times)

The system provides an accurate daily times (halachic times) calculation engine, adapted to the synagogue's geographic location.

Time Calculation

Calculation is performed automatically based on:

  1. Geographic Location: Coordinates (Latitude/Longitude) of the synagogue set in system settings.
  2. Date: Current Hebrew and Gregorian date.
  3. Halachic Methods: Support for different calculation methods (Magen Avraham, GR"A, Baal HaTanya, etc.) for times like latest Shema time, dawn, and nightfall.

API and Data

Retrieval is done through the /zmanim endpoint. You can request times for a specific date using the ?date=YYYY-MM-DD parameter.

Supported Times

The system returns a wide list of times, including:

  • Dawn (Alot Hashachar)
  • Tallit and Tefillin time (Misheyakir)
  • Sunrise (Hanetz Hachama)
  • Latest Shema time (Magen Avraham / GR"A)
  • Latest prayer time
  • Midday (Chatzot Hayom)
  • Mincha Gedola / Ketana
  • Plag Hamincha
  • Sunset (Shkiat Hachama)
  • Nightfall (Tzet Hakochavim) / Rabbeinu Tam

Display

Times are displayed on screens clearly, with highlighting of upcoming times (for example: highlighting latest Shema time in the morning).
