Torah Aliyot Management

The system allows complete management of Torah aliyot, including name assignments, types of aliyot, and rotation management.

Key Features​

  • Aliyot List Management: Add and edit those called up for each Torah reading (Shacharit, Mincha, Shabbat and holidays).
  • Aliyah Types: Support for all types of aliyot - Cohen, Levi, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, maftir, and additions.
  • Custom Names: Ability to enter the name of the person called up (for example: "Moshe ben Amram") and father's name.
  • Mi Sheberach: Ability to add "Mi Sheberach" text or special notes for each person.

How Does It Work? (Technical Overview)​

The OlieLatora module on the server is responsible for data management. Data is saved in the database and linked to the specific synagogue (Tenant).

Available Operations (API Operations)​

  • Create Aliyah Entry: Add a new record of someone called up for a specific date and parsha.
  • Update Details: Change the name of the person or type of aliyah.
  • Delete: Remove someone from the list.
  • Retrieve: Get list of those called up by date or parsha.

Screen Display​

The aliyot list is synchronized in real-time with synagogue screens, so the Gabbai can update names and they'll immediately appear on the digital board (if "Torah Reading" display is configured).
